Phoe's Patchwork Gala Dress

Artist's Training Grounds Alumni Group - Bonus Theme - Draw a Gala dress for Phoe.

I'm not sure if this came out how I wanted it, but I hope it looks good. The idea in my head was from the image I had as a kid, my Mom would sew patchwork quilts from her scraps in her spare time, and holding these up to the light they would make a stained window looking effect which I thought was absolutely beautiful.

My thought of making it a patchwork dress came from the idea that Phoe's dress wasn't just designed, but a joint construction, featuring a piece created by each artist she has inspired. I think Phoe as a pony came out beautifully, just not sure how well the patchwork of the dress body came across. It was a hard thing to make, but mostly just time consuming, not technically difficult.

Also, I just had that mental moment, where I realized if you had told me I'd be designing a dress for a pony a year ago, I'd have told you to stop talking crazy and put the lamp down, then slowly have backed away. I have no control of my life anymore, and it is awesome.
